Pembroke Pines, FL Day 3

Posted on November 11, 2021February 1, 2022 by Michael Kurt
  • My contact with the city, who used to be a mechanic, said EGR is related to exhaust emissions and the valve is a frequent source of problems. Often get stuck due to thermal cycling or sitting for long periods.
  • People often remove them to improve mileage, performance, engine life
  • EGR Valve sensor contacts were slightly corroded; cleaned with contact cleaner
  • Attempted to remove EGR Valve, but was unable to budge it after removing bolts
  • Need NOCO jump; Ran for 15 minutes
  • Repaired truck/module gasket passenger side w/ duct tape
